Chimney Sweeping

Your Annual Chimney Clean. Simple and Mess-free!

It's easy to forget about your chimney until you're ready to light a fire.
Did you know that all chimneys and wood-burning systems should be inspected once per year?

If your chimney was inspected last year, burning, freezing, thawing, settling, water damage, and expansion and contraction can quickly turn a suitable chimney system into a non-compliant one.

If you live in the greater Vancouver area, you can count on our "full-service" chimney professionals ensure your annual chimney cleaning and maintenance plan is simple and mess-free.

We Inspect First

Our WETT-certified chimney sweeps assess your chimney exterior from ground level, if possible. Assess the fireplace, damper, and throat for creosote buildup and other potential issues.

We lay drop cloths around your appliance and seal the fireplace opening.
A heavy-duty vacuum with HEPA filtration helps contain dust and debris.

We create negative pressure.png
We Create Negative Pressure

We turn on the vacuum to create negative pressure inside the fireplace, then insert our rotary sweeping head and rods to prepare for cleaning.

We rotate the sweeping head at high speed, moving the rods up and down and reversing direction to thoroughly clean every corner of the flue.

We brush and vacuum the smoke shelf and firebox. For inserts and wood stoves, we remove the baffles, assess visible components, and replace damaged firebrick or baffles as needed.

Scheduling Your Chimney Sweep In the Spring Has Its Perks

We're happy to provide the service any time of year, but here are five reasons to have your wood-burning system serviced in the spring:

Creosote is highly acidic and can form sulfuric acid when exposed to water. Scheduled cleaning after your last fire of the season is highly recommended.

Catch potential chimney issues early, before using your system.

Prevent unpleasant creosote odours from spreading throughout your home.

Avoid delays by booking your chimney sweep before the busy season.

Enjoy peace of mind knowing your chimney system has been serviced before the next burning season.

First Visit

New customers receive a basic, visual, non-documented ground-level inspection of their chimney and wood-burning system to assess its condition and whether sweeping is needed.

* This is not a WETT inspection report.

If Sweeping Is Not Required

A $175 + tax call-out fee applies if creosote buildup is under 3 mm, which would not require sweeping, or if the system is not suitable for use in its present condition.
