Our chimney sweeping process is as follows:
We employ a state –of-the-art rotary sweeping system.
The sweep is performed from within the house for two important reasons: 1) We do not walk on your roof as this could crack or break wood or asphalt shingles, and 2) inserting a chimney sweeping brush, and rods through the top opening of a chimney could loosen chimney pots and brick which could lead to water damage, and costly repairs.
After we place a large, heavy duty drop cloth in front of the fireplace, the fireplace opening is partially sealed with plastic before a vacuum hose is inserted into the fireplace. We then turn on the vacuum, and insert the rotary head system up the chimney, past the damper opening. The rotary head, which is attached to 5 foot sections of flexible plastic rods, rotates at high R.P.M.’s as it is guided up the chimney flue. The design of the system allows for us to feel when it reaches the top of the flue. The direction of rotation is then reversed as the rotary head is eased back down, cleaning all corners of the flue including the throat of the fireplace.
Our sweeping process does not harm the flue in any way and we guarantee a MESS-FREE experience. Our heavy- duty vacuum has an extra fine filter bag with a secondary HEPA filtration system. NO DUST OR ALLERGENS.
This process is safest for flexible liners as the plastic rods conform to transitions within the liner system.
You deserve the best, so call the best.
